The Holy Bible

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of 66 books is the inspired Word of God, as originally given, to be without error, fully inspired and infallible and the supreme and final authority in all matters of Christian faith, work and conduct. (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19,20; Revelation 22:18,19.)

The Divine Trinity

We believe that the Godhead consists of three separate persons who exists co-equally and co-eternally as three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and that these three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence, and redemption. They are distinct and recognisable personalities, perfectly united as One. (1 Timothy 3:16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Acts 17:29-30, 1 John 5:7)

The Depravity of Man

We believe in total depravity and universal sinfulness of all men since the Fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation. (Genesis 6:12; Job 15:16; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:10, 23)

Salvation through Christ

We believe that all men need a Saviour for salvation from sins through repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous before God. This justification is imputed to men by God’s grace and not by human merit because of the atoning work of Christ, received by faith alone and evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit and a life of holiness. (Matthew 1:18; Luke 2:11; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:1,2)

God The Father

We believe in God the Father, Almighty, as Creator of heaven and earth. His love and providence towards all humankind, His Omnipotence, His Omnipresence and Omniscience. He is all righteous and Judge of all the Earth. From Him proceeds the Son and the Holy Spirit and He reigns forever and ever (Isaiah 9:6; 63:16; Jeremiah 31:9; Matthew 6:9; John 8:41b; Ephesians 1:17).

Christ The Saviour

We believe in the true deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, being fully man and fully God. That He lived sinless life, His authoritative teaching, and substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His blood shed for the reconciliation of men to God. We believe in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession and His second advent to receive His Church. (Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Hebrews 7:25; John 7:46; Acts 1:11; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit and His work in convicting of sin, righteousness and judgement. His work in the regeneration of man and sanctification of saints in the light, as the second work of grace. The Holy Spirit baptism is the means by which believers are empowered to serve God boldly, passionately and for a deeper and intimate work with God (Luke 24:49; John 14:26; 16:13; Acts 13:2; 19:2-3; Romans 8:26).

The Great Commission

We believe that all believers are commissioned by God to preach the Gospel to all men as our primary call as our Lord Jesus commands and God requires every believer to be a compassionate and fruitful soulwinner, bringing others to faith in Christ. Being filled with His power and presence we are to heal the sick, cast out devils and show compassion for the lost.
embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the Gospel to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical needs of mankind. (Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-49; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; 1-4; Psalm 126:5,6; Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3; Ezekiel 3:17-21.)

The Church of God

We believe in the universal church of God comprising of all believers in Christ throughout all ages, washed in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and called to be saints. We believe that through the church the manifest glory (wisdom) of God should be made known to all men. The church as a body of believers should care for one another irrespective of race, age, social status and be a visible witness of the Lord Jesus Christ to all nations. It exists for fellowship, nurture and above all to prepare the saints for the heavenly kingdom (Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:47; 20:28; 1Corinthians 11:22; Ephesians 5:25-27)

The Church Ordinances

We believe in the ordinances of the bible, especially the two ordinances established by Christ of water baptism by all believers and commemorating of Christ’s death by the observing the Lord’s Supper until His return in obedience to the command of Christ (Matthew 28:19; 3:13-17; Mark 16:15,16; Acts 2:38;8:38,39; 19:1-5; Romans 6:4,5; Matthew 26:29; Luke 22:17-20; I Corinthians 11:23-30.)

End Time Events

We believe in the end of time, the church of God universal will be raptured, followed by a period of intense tribulations “the Great Tribulation period”, the physical and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgement of the world, the eternal conscious bliss of the righteous and the eternal conscious punishment of the wicked and Christ’s millennial reign of peace on earth (John 14:1-3; Luke 21:34-36; I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; 5:4-9; 2 Thessalonians 2:5-7; Philippians 3:11,20,21; I John 3:1-3).

The Eternal Hope of Believers

We believe that there is a New Heaven and a New Earth that proceeds from God for all believers in Christ “where righteousness dwells” as our Eternal Hope. This present material world will give way to God’s glorious Kingdom for the saints in light. This will be our eternal abode with glories indescribable. There, we shall know each other, our knowledge having been perfected. There will be no more curse upon anything. There will be no more night; the glory of the Lord will be the light thereof. (Psalm 102:25,26; Isaiah 51:6; 65:17; Matthew 5:18; 24:35; 2 Peter 3:10-13; Revelation 21:1- Isaiah 66:22; 2 Peter 3:12,13; I Corinthians 13:12; I John 3:2,3; Revelation 21:1-7; 22:1-5.)
